Yes, a referral is required from your GP/specialist to see Dr Sree Krishna Venuthurupalli to obtain a medicare rebate. Our reception staff can provide more detailed information.

The Q Kidneys is a privately billing practice with payment required at the time of consultation. The fees will vary depending on the length and complexity of your consultation. A portion of the fee can be refunded from medicare, if you hold a current Medicare card. We are able to offer online submission of your claims at the time of payment, this allows your rebate to be deposited into your bank account within 24-48 hours. Please ensure you have your bank details registered with Medicare. Bulk billing is provided in special cases. EFTPOS facilities are available at the clinic.Please contact reception for exact consult fees.

Apart from Medicare and your insurance information :

  • A referral from your General Practitioner or family doctor
  • A list of all medications that you are currently taking
  • A list of any known drug allergies and the symptoms you may have from taking these medicines
  • If you have had surgery elsewhere, please bring a copy of your surgery details

Your medical file is handled with the utmost respect for your privacy. Our staff are bound by strict confidentiality requirements as a condition of employment regarding your medical records. Ordinarily we will not release the contents of your medical file without your consent.

All discussion regarding Pathology and Radiology results will require a consultation with the doctor. Due to privacy and confidentiality, results cannot be emailed.

Yes, free car parking is available for patients at the specialist medical centre. You can park at basement/underground or at multiple levels up to level 3

When using the underground car park, simply take the lifts to Q Kidneys Clinics on Level 5. Touch-screen signage showing directions is available at all levels next to the lifts

Yes, there are designated parking bays for holders of disabled parking permits.

Your phone call will be taken by the reception staff and a message given to the doctor. Your call will be returned when the doctor is next available. Sometimes it will be necessary for our reception staff to ask sensitive questions in order to assess the urgency of your enquiry. Please be reassured they are there to help you, so it is important to give as much information as possible so we can help you as quickly as possible. Currently we are open on Thursdays and Saturdays.
